Undergraduate Research Assistant
I am a 2nd year Ecology, Behavior and Evolution major. I took EEB 87 – California’s DNA: Field Course during my first quarter freshman year at UCLA, and I received the CALeDNA 2019 Summer Research Internship and participated in the Summer Institute. I have helped with the sampling and metabarcoding of the Thousand Palms Oasis Preserve project, the L.A. Urban Ocean Expedition 2019, and Woolsey Fire sites. Currently I’m working on a research project studying the interaction between plant species and pollinators using non-invasive eDNA methods. I am passionate about plants and wildlife conservation as well as environmental education.
